The first Cloud Camp in Naples

VMengine organizes the CloudCamp in Naples for October on the 28th. The CloudCamp will be hosted in the largest event in Campania of technology and innovation, the TechnologyBiz, the second edition, this year richer in ideas than last year.

One of the most forward-looking goals of our AWS user group was to be able to attract attention, to grow the community interested in cloud computing in the Campania area, up to organizing a cloud camp in Naples.

The cloudcamp is a special vertical BarCamp on cloud computing topics, instigated by Reuven Cohen (Canadian) and developed by Dave Nielsen (Californian). The format began scheduling events in June 2008 and has so far organized almost 150 events around the world, collecting more than 270 sponsorships. Anyone can organize a cloudcamp in their city by asking for support and authorization from the developers of the format, to see their sponsors and links published. It is the task of the (local) organizers to make the event work, collect the speakers, the sponsors, bring the attention of the media to attract visitors, obviously being a vertical barCamp you need organizers who work in the field of Cloud Computing and who can boast widespread reports on the subject.

As written on the cloudcamp portal http://www.cloudcamp.org:

The CloudCamp is a non-conference where there is an exchange of ideas between those who are among the first to adopt Cloud Computing technologies. As the industry evolves rapidly, we need a place where we can meet to share our experiences, challenges, and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals, and vendors are all invited to participateand.

The idea of organizing the CloudCamp internally and at the same time as technologybiz was born from us to achieve a double effect:
